Alvarez is Not Looking to Join Arsenal.
According to David Ornstein “He’s spoken to Mikel Arteta and said he doesn’t want to come.” told TNT Sports. Arsenal did emerge as the leading club to sign the formal Manchester City Player, however recent sources suggest the player is not interested in joining Arsenal and Barcelona only remains his dream club.
Alvarez still has contract with Atlitico Madrid until 2030 with €500 million. His present club situation has been very firm that they don’t want to sell. Earlier this summer, Atlitico Madrid rejected Real Madrid offer of €150 million and maded it clear they were not interested in negotiating for Alvarez. They had also rejected Barcelona negotiations. On 27 Auguest, Atletico board publicly said there was “zero consideration” for negotiating with Barcelona after Barca President Joan Laporta spoke about not giving up on the player.
The relationship with Alvarez has become strained. He has reportedly indicated that he wants a move, while some Atlitico supporters have booed him. The club still want him to remain and are hoping he returns his focus to the team.
Atletico Position and Arsenal Interest.
Atletico’s position hasn’t change since the start of it. Rejected Barcelona, Real Madrid but if Alvarez wants to force a move then Arsenal is likely. However, Recent interview from David Orstein shows the player isn’t interested in joining Arsenal. so far remaining at Atlitico Madrid is likely.
