AC Milan are preparing to make another move for Real Madrid forward Endrick, with the Brazilian’s lack of playing time opening the door to a possible January loan.
The Rossoneri were interested in Endrick during the summer but failed to convince Real Madrid to let him leave. Now, with the 20 year old struggling for minutes under José Mourinho, Milan are monitoring the situation once again.
Endrick’s Real Madrid situation
Endrick has barely featured for Real Madrid this season, with just four minutes of first team football so far. His limited opportunities have raised fresh questions over whether another temporary move could be the best option for his development.
The Brazilian enjoyed a productive loan spell at Lyon last season, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists in 21 appearances.
With competition for places at Real Madrid remaining fierce, Endrick could once again look for regular football away from the Santiago Bernabéu.
Milan have an advantage
Milan believe they could have an important advantage in the race for Endrick because of their long standing relationship with Roc Nation, the agency representing the Brazilian.
The partnership between Milan’s ownership group and Roc Nation dates back to 2020 and has continued under Gerry Cardinale’s RedBird ownership. The relationship became even closer in August following a joint investment involving Cardinale and Roc Nation.
That connection could prove useful if Milan decide to push ahead with a January loan.
Roma also want Endrick
Milan are not alone in the race.
Roma remain interested after coming close to signing Endrick during the summer. José Mourinho ultimately convinced the forward to remain in Madrid and fight for his place, but that decision has not yet led to regular football.
Roma are expected to consider another approach in January if Endrick’s situation does not improve.
For Milan, much could depend on Omari Hutchinson, who joined the club on loan and plays in a similar position. If Hutchinson fails to make the expected impact while Endrick continues to struggle for minutes, the Real Madrid forward could quickly become a priority again.
A January loan is therefore far from guaranteed, but with Endrick looking for regular football and Milan already interested, the situation is one to watch closely in the coming months.
