Manchester United have recorded their highest ever annual revenue, despite missing out on European competition during the 2025/26 season.
United’s latest financial figures show that the club generated £677.6 million in revenue, surpassing the previous record of £666.5m set in 2025.
The figures underline the strength of United’s commercial and matchday operations, even without the additional income that comes from competing in European competitions.
United record another financial loss
Despite the record revenue, Manchester United also recorded a pre tax loss of £43 million for the year, compared with a £33m loss in the previous period.

The latest figures therefore present a mixed financial picture for the club. Revenue has continued to grow, but United remain under pressure to reduce costs and improve their overall financial performance.
The club’s 2026 financial reports also show the impact of ongoing efforts to reduce operating costs, with United reporting improved operating results during the financial year.
Record revenue despite no European football
United’s ability to reach a new revenue record without European football is a significant feature of the latest figures.
European competition can provide clubs with additional broadcasting, matchday and commercial income, meaning United’s record revenue came despite that additional source of income being unavailable during the season.
The club will now look to build on its financial position while continuing its efforts to control costs and improve performance on and off the pitch.
Manchester United’s latest financial report highlights the continued strength of the club’s revenue base, but the increased pre tax loss shows there is still work to be done to turn that revenue into stronger overall financial results.
